Nissan reveals 2015 370Z NISMO sportscar
Nissan has revealed the 2015 edition of the 370Z NISMO sportscar at the ZDAYZ event in North Carolina, USA. The ZDAYZ event is held each year to bring together Nissan and Datsun Z sportscar fans. The 2015 370Z NISMO gets a makeover on the outside while the inside also gets subtle tweaks. In terms of mechanical changes, Nissan has added a new 7 speed automatic gearbox to the sportscar while the 3.7 liter V6 petrol engine remains unchanged.

The 3.7 liter V6 petrol engine on the 370Z is naturally aspirated and gets a 24 valve, DOHC head. The petrol engine feature variable valve timing and gets a short stroke configuration that allows it to rev up to 7,500 rpm. A 6 speed manual gearbox is offered as standard with this engine and the newly added 7-speed automatic gearbox gets Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) technology, Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with paddle shifters. The two seater car gets a range of changes on the outside. The car gets a body kit inspired by the flagship GT-R sportscar. The front end is set deeper and the car gets blacked out headlamps. Daytime running LEDs, a NISMO emblem and a red stripe that runs on the chin spoiler are major design highlights on the car. The red accents continue on the side sills and end with the rear bumper accents. The car also gets redesigned 19 inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Recaro leather seats have been redesigned for better comfort and performance during cornering. The red accents seen on the exteriors continue to the inside of the sportscar with an Alcantara leather wrapped steering wheel and a NISMO tachometer. The car gets a new 7 inch touch screen infotainment system with a hard drive based navigation module. A Bose audio system and a rear view camera come standard.
Until recently, Nissan used to sell the 370Z Sportscar in India. The sportscar was imported as a CBU and used to sell for about Rs. 60 Lakhs. Nissan has discontinued the 370Z from the Indian market on account of poor sales and there is no indication from the company on a relaunch of this sportscar. Thereby, all we can do is admire the newest version of the 370Z as the possibility of this car being sold here is minimal.
